Excent Tera is a new special education application for case management, IEPs and Medicaid billing. Launching this new electronic IEP system throughout Washtenaw County will be a major project for Washtenaw ISD during the 2009-2010 school year. Beginning in September, all IEPs will be completed using the Excent Tera IEP system.
Excent Tera uses a 'thin-client' connection over Microsoft Terminal Services. That basically means that you are connecting and running your session on a server at a remote location.
Getting to Excent Tera is a two-part process. Part one: you will use the Remote Desktop Client to connect to the server at Jackson County ISD (JCISD). Once you are on their server, you will go to part two: logging into the Excent Tera application.
Download the Remote Desktop Connection client if needed. (You can check to see if you have this by going to the Start button > Programs > Accessories > Remote Desktop Connection.)
If you already have this, go on to the next step.
Mac Users
Mac users need to install the Remote Desktop Connection Client 2 from Microsoft. This is a free download. Download the installer and follow the prompts:
http://www.microsoft.com/mac/products/remote-desktop/default.mspx.
PC Users
