On behalf of the local school districts in Washtenaw, WISD operates classes located in general education facilities serving children with moderate and severe disabilities. These classes provide support for functional skill training, access to the general education curriculum, and opportunities to participate in activities with non disabled peers. Students served in these classes are referred by their local school districts.
